Bertini Presents at 30th Annual Conference of Australian Institutes of Transport Research  December 2008
Prof. Bertini presented "Exploiting High Resolution Archived Transit Data for Improved Planning and Operations: A Portland, Oregon Case Study," co-authored with Huan Li, at the 30th Annual Conference of Australian Institutes of Transport Research (CAITR), held at the University of Western Australia in Perth, December 10-12, 2008. Bertini also moderated a session on "Travel Modelling," served as a judge for the student paper competition, and presented a summary of Portland State University's transportation research and education programs. Faculty and students from universities throughout Australia (and one from the Netherlands!) participated in CAITR, and it was an excellent opportunity to visit Western Australia, learn about ongoing research projects, and engage in active discussions. Thanks to Dr. Doina Olaru, Lecturer in the UWA Business School, for all of her efforts to organize the conference.
