  ITS Lab Bids Farewell to Prof. Bertini • August 2009 The ITS Lab and STEP students along with the OTREC faculty members and staff gathered at the ITS Lab to bid farewell to Prof. Robert Bertini. At Portland State University, Prof. Bertini developed a transportation engineering graduate program, the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) lab, the Portland Oregon Transportation Archive Listing (PORTAL), and the Oregon Transportation Research and Education Consortium (OTREC.) He has been a faculty member at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Nohad A. Toulan School of Urban Studies & Planning since 2000. Prof. Bertini will be the deputy administrator of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) at Washington D.C. We all will miss him and hope to see him and work with him again in the future! | ||||
